Building a Presence for Science is the largest networking initiative of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA). The award-winning program is designed to improve the teaching and learning of science from kindergarten through 12th grade. AMATYC Releases Mathematics Standards for Two-Year Colleges

The American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges (AMATYC) released its latest mathematics standards document, "Beyond Crossroads", on November 2, 2006. OMSC is pleased and fortunate to have had Dr. Rikki Blair, president-elect of AMATYC, attend and present a sneak preview of the recommendations at our October 6th coalition meeting. TIMSS 1999 Science Video Study
Five countries participated in the science video study: Australia, the Czech Republic, Japan, Netherlands, and the United States. Four hundred thirty-nine (439) lessons were analyzed. Twenty-five public release lessons (five from each country) will be made available. Clips from public release lessons will accompany the full report.
