- A Common Vision
OMSC facilitates and encourages collaboration among Ohio stakeholders to create a shared vision for continuous, systemic, and sustainable improvement. Through regional activity and a statewide presence, OMSC works to develop a consensus of the goals and attributes of a world-class education system and facilitates the development of a statewide strategic plan to improve the science, technology, engineering and mathematics learning opportunities for all Ohio students.
OMSC Mission and Vision
- The OMSC Visioning Council
The Visioning Council was formed in 1998 to identify the challenges of improving and revitalizing PreK-16 mathematics and science education in Ohio. The work of the Visioning Council ultimately resulted in OMSC's Vision Document, FINDING THE SOLUTION: Bringing Mathematics and Science Education in Ohio into the 21st Century.
OMSC wishes to recognize the leadership of this group. Their vision continues to serve as the foundation for the coalition's ongoing efforts to implement systemic and sustainable improvements to the mathematics and science education system for all Ohio students.
